Summary of Tournament Rules

  1. The use of electronic devices (smartphones, tablets, smartwatches, etc.) during a game is prohibited.
  2. A player who wins a game should immediately record the result in the designated place.
  3. A player who is more than 20 minutes late for a round loses the game.
  4. By registering for the tournament, a player agrees to the publication of their name, surname, club/city, country, EGD profile, and ranking on the tournament participant list.
  5. By taking part in the tournament, a player agrees to the recording of their image (photos, video) and its later use by the tournament organizer (website, social media profiles, etc.).
  6. A player commits to maintaining a kind, safe, and friendly atmosphere for everyone.
  7. Legal guardians are responsible for underage participants.
  8. The Participation Rules for Go Tournaments in Poland – Polish players with a GoR rating of 1050+ apply. To participate, such players must be members of PSG.
  9. The PSG Tournament Rules apply (which are nearly identical to the EGF Rules).
  10. Tiebreakers: MMS, SOS, SOSOS, direct confrontation.
  11. Prizes are awarded independently of the overall tournament classification — a player may receive both an age‑category prize and a general prize if they meet the criteria.

Information on Data Processing

  1. The Data Controller is Jakub Gauza (jakub.gauza@go.art.pl).
  2. Registering for and participating in the tournament constitutes consent to the processing of personal data and the publication of one’s image on social media (based on Article 6(1)(a) GDPR).
  3. The purpose of processing personal data is the organization and promotion of the Porfirion Cup 2026 (hereinafter: the tournament).
  4. Personal data will be processed for the period necessary to fulfill the organizational and promotional purposes of the tournament.
  5. You have the right to access your data and the right to rectify, delete (details in Article 17), restrict processing (Article 18), transfer data (Article 20), object (Article 21), and withdraw consent at any time.
  6. Providing personal data is mandatory under applicable law; failure to provide it will result in the inability to participate in the tournament. Data processing does not involve profiling.
